Dunstan Hospital in Clyde is looking for a passionate person/s to join our well established and high performing kitchen team. We provide a meal service primarily for the people in our Hospital Ward, Meals on Wheels and our café.

 

We are looking for one or two Cook’s to work up to 5 days per week including weekend work. There are additional shifts available to cover leave from time to time. Penal rates apply on weekends and stat days.

 

If it is your preference, we are able to employ on a fixed term basis for a minimum of 6 months to cover planned leave for the right person. Please state in your application if this is your preference.

 

Applicants will need to:

• Preferably have cooking experience, but training will be provided

• Have excellent time management skills whilst working under pressure and unsupervised

• Be willing to learn new tasks

• Be confident in your communication as you will be working with all hospital staff and patients

• Have an eye for detail verging on fussy

• Abide by our confidentiality policies and procedures 

 

 

A uniform will be supplied.

 

Training will be provided to comply with our Food Control Plan, patient dietary requirements, Infection & Prevention Control and Health & Safety practices.

 

We have competitive pay rates.
